Welcome to another sketch Tielman sent along for Yalu And The Stinky Stink. Yalu has been waiting for her people to come home. Laura’s the first one to arrive. She comes over to Yalu for an all important hello petties–those are the best petties to get when people have been gone for a while.
I like how Yalu focused her attention on Laura. It’s easy to see the love she has of Laura in her eyes. There is a bright happiness on Yalu’s face after being alone in the house while on guard dog duty.
Dogs are always happy to see their people when they come home. They have no idea where we go or how long we’ve been gone. They must no doubt wonder why there were not allowed to go with their people.
John Grogan did sum up dogs rather well. “Such short little lives our pets have to spend with us, and they spend most of it waiting for us to come home each day. It is amazing how much love and laughter they bring into our lives and even how much closer we become with each other because of them.”
